Chapter One:Tire management


Construction tires are indispensable and expensive components of vehicle equipment, so it is important to select and use tires correctly, and to maximize their practicality. Scientific management of tires and reduce tire costs, improve the economic benefits of vehicle equipment operations.


Section One -- Acceptance of tires

a. Tire must be strictly checked before storage, its quantity, specifications, ply, tread type is consistent with the invoice and the packing list, if found any problems please do not use and contact with the manufacturer, will be usable after resolved.

b. If found that the tire has serious appearance defects, please contact the manufacturer in time, before having proper solution, tires cannot be put into use.

c. Check for damage caused in the course of transport, especially the airtight layer of the tubeless tire, if damage is found, immediately give feedback to the logistic department, and require the confirmation.


Section Two -- Tire transportation


a. Tires must be lifted with a wide fiber belt (nylon strap) and no wire ropes or angled hooks.





b. If transporting with a forklift, slowly lift from the outer perimeter of the tire, do not insert the fork into the tire's internal diameter to carry.


 Improper handling of tires can lead to damage, especially the tire's ring



1) When using the gantry cranes to carry tires

a) Use a wide nylon or rubber sling.

b) Prohibited to use only one belt.

c) Do not hook the tire ring.

2) When using forklifts to carry tires

a) Place the tire on the fork vertically.

b) Use a round fork with a diameter of at least 6 inches.

c) The flat fork cannot be inserted into the middle of the tire.

c. Any other transportation methods that may damage tire or ring shall be strictly prohibited.


Section Three – Tire storage

a. Tire after acceptance can be stored in the warehouse, storage should be in accordance with tire specifications and types of separate storage, avoid heavy pressure, stacking tires, should be stored upright, and regularly turn its fulcrum to prevent tire deformation and aging.






b. Tires should be stored in a dark room, to avoid direct sunlight, do not store in the open air, for preventing tire aging. For short-term outdoor storage, cover with a tarpaulin.

c. Avoid proximity to generators, power switch boxes or other sites with severe ozone.

d. Avoid high temperatures, away from heat sources for preventing rubber aging.

e. Avoid oil pollution, prevent tire rubber from being hot and expand, and cannot be strong acid, alkali with volatile corrosion of materials together.

f. For long-term unused vehicles, the frame must be lifted to remove the tires from the ground, the air pressure can be charged to 30% of the standard air pressure. The vehicle must be charged to standard air pressure before it is restarted.

g. The inner tube can be stored flat for a short period of time, long-term storage should be filled with half gas on the storage rack, not to fold storage and direct sunlight.

h. The protective ring must not be removed before use of the inner tire.
